my current Skincare Routine!πŸ’™

Hello everyone, happy Monday! I hope you are all keeping well.

To be honest with you all, I still haven’t quite found a routine in which I can give 100% engagement with my social accounts. I am mostly active over on my Instagram, but I always want to give equal effort on here in reading fellow bloggers posts, so if anyone has any tips on how to balance work and your socials then please do let me know!☺️I have had another busy week, and I am still on the active search for a graduate or post-degree job, so I have a lot going on right now – can anyone else relate?πŸ˜…

Besides my life, let’s get into this weeks blog post in which I am sharing my current skincare routine! I think this is a well overdue blog post, and I can’t believe I haven’t written this yet! As always I hope you enjoy…

(From right to left: theinkeylist Multi-Biotic moisturiser, theinkeylist Salicylic Acid cleanser, Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant, theinkeylist Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment, La Roche-Posay Effaclar toner, theinkeylist Hyaluronic Acid, theinkeylist Niacinamide serum).

Firstly, after a long day I love to use this Salicylic Acid Gel wash from The Inkey List, not only is it really good at removing makeup and my waterproof mascara, but it works really well at maintaining my skin and helping to prevent breakouts. It has a really nice texture, and lathers up nicely. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped, and I am really enjoying using it within my routine.

Next, I like to use a toner and the current one I am loving is the La Roche Posay … This works really well at additionally cleansing my skin, whilst deeply cleansing my pores. I like this toner because I feel like it has also helped balance my skin tone and definitely smoothen my skin, which I am very happy about!

After toning, I apply either a liquid exfoliant or a serum. My current favourite BHA liquid exfoliant is from Paula’s choice and has changed the game!! This stuff is truly amazing, it works so well at maintaining my breakouts and works to rapidly reduce them. 10/10 product. I have written a whole review on this, so if you want to read an in-depth review, check that out here: https://francescasfinds.com/2021/05/17/paulas-choice-2-bha-liquid-exfoliant-is-it-worth-the-hype/

I like to use the BHA liquid exfoliant every other night just because I think it works better for my skin. Beforehand, when I was using this product once or twice a day, I felt like perhaps my skin had become too used to it and so I began to apply the product every other day, and I found it was working a lot better in the way I was noticing results faster.

Alternativley to the BHA, or as well as I will apply the Hyaluronic acid from The Inkey List. Again, this product is really good, it is so nourishing and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and glowy. After researching, I found that BHA and Hyaluronic Acid work really well together, and I completely agree.

On top of that, I will apply a Niacinamide serum, currently I am using The Inkey List’s, and it’s great at controlling redness in my skin tone and controlling breakouts.

Lastly, if I do have any spots this product is my first point of call. It is so great at helping to radpily reduce spot sizes, and the product colour is green which is always fun lol! I love the packaging of this product, and I can see it lasting me a great amount of time!

So there was my current skincare routine, I hope you enjoyed reading it!

I will see you all next Monday for another post, have a great week! x

  1. We both share The Inkey List in our beauty routines! I use quite a few products from the brand as well, not the same ones though -except from the Hyaluronic Acid Serum- because my skin needs are very different. Thank you for sharing your skincare routine, all products seem to be very effective.
