Products That Disappointed Me!

Hello everyone, hope you are all well!

For this week’s blog post, I wanted to talk about some products that I have bought and had for a while and sadly just haven’t been able to get on with them. I wanted to love these products, but they were slightly underwhelming, so let’s dive in…

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Natural Bronze Body Lotion

I love finding bronzing products to give me that healthy glow, whether it’s a moisturiser, glow drops or sprays. Sadly, I didn’t get on with this product. I usually love the cocoa butter scent, but the lotion didn’t smell as good as it usually does and I’m not sure why? Due to the pump packaging, it does not make the product travel friendly. If you wanted to close the pump to travel with it, you would have to squeeze out and waste some product and then clean around the opening, which isn’t the most convenient.

You also have to be careful with this tanning lotion, as if you are to put it on without too much care, you will be left with some streaks, which is frustrating. Perhaps this product is loved by others, but I do not get on with it.

PS… Glow Intensity Shimmering Setting Spray

When I saw this in Primark in their beauty section, I was really excited as I saw this product as a dupe for the Iconic glow spray. Sadly, it didn’t live up to the greatness of other glow sprays. The formula is sticky and a lot more wet, which could be down to the cheaper price of the item, compared to more expensive brands.

Additionally, it didn’t have a nice scent to it, and came across quite orange-looking. Don’t get me wrong, it does give you a sparkle and you get a great amount of product for £4, but again I just didn’t get on with it.

Revolution Skincare 1% Salicylic Acid + Marshmallow Extract Gentle Blemish Serum

I love Revolution Skincare, especially the Niacinamide, and I equally wanted to love this product to help fight against blemishes and prevent spots however, it just didn’t do anything for my skin. I used this product for several weeks and didn’t notice any change. Sometimes your skin just doesn’t get on with a product and that is okay!

I love the packaging but unfortunately need a different product to help with troublesome skin.

Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover

I bought this eye makeup remover as a new product to try whilst I was at University and I just didn’t favour the formula. It does a great job at removing tough eye makeup and mascara but it is a very oily formula and for my skin type which is already oily, it doesn’t agree. I felt like after using it my eye area would just feel and look greasy for ages, so I didn’t get far into the product and will give it to a family member instead.

Thank you for joining me again for this week’s blog post, as always I hope you enjoyed! Let me know down below if there are any products that you haven’t got along with.

See you next week for another blog post,

Lots of love xx
