Q+A Skincare Review!

Hello everyone, how are we all feeling this week?

Towards the end of last year, I entered a giveaway and to my surprise I actually won it, (which never happens to me!) It was a giveaway to win Q+A’s latest skincare products, so I was over the moon. Q+A are a skincare brand who pride themselves on ingredient focused skincare with high performance results, so let’s dive right in and see what I thought!

All products from Q+A’s skincare range are all; fragrance free, cruelty-free and vegan! Another positive, is that Q+A are branching out and I have seen that they are now stocked on websites such as Holland and Barrett, PrettyLittleThing and FeelUnique – which makes them easier to get hold of!

Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleanser – £7.50

This cleanser focuses on hydrating through the properties of the Hyaluronic acid, as it uses gentle agents to boost your skins moisture.

Packaging – Love the packaging, I like how all the products are different colours, as it makes it fun. I also like how on the packaging is a ‘Skincare Checklist’, which marks out what each product does and the benefits for your skin, without having to read through a long and tiny-written description.

Thoughts:

I have really enjoyed using this cleanser, not only has it helped with the dry skin I religiously get on my forehead in the winter months, but it has helped calm down any breakouts too. I was so amazed that I haven’t suffered so badly with dry skin on my forehead, as before, it would be so red and flaky, that even when it came to applying makeup, I knew it wouldn’t look good. But ever since using this cleanser, I have not noticed dry skin there at all – so I think this could be my new winter months saver cleanser! After cleansing, my skin does not feel tight whatsoever, it just feels super clean and nourished.

This product is fragrance free, which is good for me as I have sensitive skin. You also get 125ml of cleanser, which I think is really good, as you only need a pea-size amount, so it does last you. I don’t have a bad word to say about this product, I truly recommend it if like me your skin needs that boost in hydration.

Apple AHA Exfoliating Gel – £8.50

This exfolaitor is a combination of naturally occuring Malic and Lactic Acid, alongside Apple fruit extracts and Glycolic Acid, which are all properties for smoother, brighter skin.

Packaging – Again, the green packaging is really fun, and clearly marks what the product does to benefit your skin. It is a travel-friendly size, without being too small. Again, you get a great amount of product for the price, as you only need a small amount.

Thoughts:

This exfoliating gel is one of my new favourites for sure! I have noticed that my skin feels softer and brighter, and I had only been using it once a week, as suggested.

You apply this gel onto dry skin and at first I didn’t feel like it was doing much, as you can’t really feel it like you can with other facial exfoliants. But don’t let that fool you! After I patted my face dry, I could feel how soft my face was, so I love that this product is so gentle, yet packs a punch! It also washes off really easily, as I have found before that some exfoliants are a pain to get off.

The only slight issue I have with this product, is that because it is quite a liquid-based exfoliant, sometimes too much product can come out.

Seaweed Peptide Eye Gel – £6.50

This eye gel is filled with collagen building Peptides and soothing organic Aloe Vera, which helps to keep your under-eyes hydrated, firm and bright.

Packaging – I like the packaging of this product, as it looks clean and isn’t bulky, meaning it is perfect for travelling. The packaging also allows you to squeeze out the perfect amount of product needed.

Thoughts:

This eye cream has been lovely to use, I have noticed that it has helped with brightening under my eyes, and just makes them feel super nourished. I apply this both morning and night, as it feels so calming on the delicate skin around my eyes, but also helps me to look awake in the mornings as I often awake with puffy eyes.

Again, you get a great amount of product, and it lasts.

Chamomile Night Cream – £12

Q+A describe this Chamomile Night Cream as ‘a super soothing moisturiser that works whilst you sleep to strengthen your skin barrier for a hydrated and fresh complexion.’ Chamomile is known to rejuvenates tired, stressed and dry skin.

Packaging – What I have enjoyed about all of Q+A’s packaging, is that it feels expensive, especially this night cream, as it is a glass pot, so just feels better quality and more luxurious.

Thoughts:

This Chamomile night cream is a dream to apply onto your skin, and so I have loved incorporating it into my routine, and it shall definitely stay! It absorbs into the skin really well, and is a thicker cream without being too heavy on the skin that you can feel it. I have also noticed that it has helped to reduce not only redness in my skin tone, but soreness around breakouts. My skin just feels nourished and looked after once applying this, I just love it.

The only thing I would comment on this product, is the price as I’m not sure if £12 is a little steep, but I understand sometimes you have to pay a little more for products that perform so well, so I guess it can be a skincare treat.

Thank you so much for joining me again to read this week’s review! Since winning this giveaway, I have been enjoying using these products, and as I know they are a fairly new brand on the skincare scene, I just had to share with you!

Comment down below if you have tried any products from Q+A 😊

Lots of love, Francesca xx
