L’Oréal Elvive Haircare Products Review!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well! 🦋

Today’s blog post is all about my current haircare favourites! I want to up my haircare game this year, so hair products is something I’m focusing more on! It would be great if you were to let me know down below your recommendations! Asides from that, let’s dive right in! ✨

  1. L’Oréal Frizz Killer Serum – £7.99

L’Oréal describes this serum as a ‘dream sleeker with frizz resistance’, which I do agree with, as it helps to give your hair a sleeker finish and control those fly away’s. Naturally, I have quite frizzy hair, so I like to use around 1-2 pumps of this into my towel-dried hair after washing it, as not only a detangler, but as a way of giving my hair more of a sleek feel.

Packagaing – The packaging of this serum is really nice. The product comes in a bottle with a dispensing pump. Not only do you get a great amount of product for the price, but the pump dispenses the perfect pea-size amount needed. It also has a rotating on and off lock, so it is really travel friendly.

Thoughts:

The texture is a serum, so it is really easy to work into the hair and easily spreads too. The serum isn’t greasy and is silicone-free, which allows moisture to reach the natural oils of your hair, helping to nourish and restore. Another benefit of this product is that it is enriched with Keratin, Vitamins and Castor Oil, which are all healthy ingredients to promote your hairs strength and and elasticity.

One of the best things about this serum, is that is smells heavenly, and it lasts in your hair for a long time! Often, in the middle of the day I may apply some to my hair, just because of the scent! Another benefit of this product, is that is has up to 230ºC heat protection, so it can be used as a multi-purpose product!

Con – The only thing I would say about this serum, is that I don’t believe that it keeps your hair sleek and frizz-free all day. It lasts for a good amount of time, but definitely not all day.

2. L’Oréal No Haircut Cream – £8.

Over on the Boots website, this product is described as a, ‘conditioning formula, enriched with a cocktail of Keratin, Vitamins and Castor Oil’, helping to ‘reduce the appearance of split ends and reduce breakage from brushing,’ which again I agree with. This was the second product I brought from the range, as I was dealing with some split ends and had heard some great things about this. Let me tell you, this is a miracle worker! If your hair is ever looking a lil rough at the ends, apply some of this, literally a pea-size amount, and it just softens it all and helps to blend your ends!

Packaging – The colour of the packaging is so fun, and looks really different to any other product I have sat on my dressing table. The product is packaged in a bottle that you can pull and push the lid to open and close, so again it is really travel friendly, and allows you to squeeze the perfect amount of product needed.

Texture/Thoughts:

This product has a thin lotion consistency, so it is really easy to spread around the lengths of your hair without it becoming sticky. It works best as a leave-in conditioner, so I like to apply this to the ends of my hair to help soften it. I love this product as it is multi-functional, as you can also apply it before you use a heated hair tool, as it has up to 180ºC heat protection! Just like the serum above, this haircut cream smells amazing too – I am loving the Elvive range scent!

Con – I can’t think of a negative for this product, I genuinely love everything about it!

Thank you for joining me again to read this week’s review! It truly means the world to me that I am slowly creating an amazing community here on WordPress!

Let me know down below what your favourite haircare product is – always happy to have some new recommendations!

Lots of love, Francesca xx
