Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog, I hope you are all well, and are ready to smash this new year! ✨
For today’s blog post, I wanted to talk about makeup, as I have so many products to talk about that I love. So, for today I am writing about five great products that meet the £10 mark and are such good staples to have in your makeup bag. I collected these products whilst living away at University, so of course I was budgeting my money and spending a bit less on makeup products, however, these are a few of the gems that I found and still love and use today.
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – £4.19
I know I have mentioned this concealer in previous posts, but I cannot help it as I truly love this product, it is one of my holy grails! Collection’s concealer is also used and loved by so many people, because of how well it performs for the price!
I prefer to use this concealer with either a small, gentle eye brush, or a beauty sponge to apply underneath my eyes to help brighten, and on my t-zone if I feel like I need some more coverage. The concealer blends so smoothly, and doesn’t look cake-y after a few hours. This is a great concealer, that I believe lasts all day, so I can’t complain. However, I will venture out and try some other concealers so I can compare them, so let me know if you would like to see that!
2. Soap & Glory’s Thick and Fast High Definition Mascara – £10.50
Now, I know this product is 50p over the £10 mark, but I had to include it as this is a mascara I haven’t mentioned before. I received this as a gift as a part of the Soap & Glory gift sets, and I was pleasantly surprised.
On the Boots website, it states this mascara has a, ‘7-SIDED FAN FLARE-180™ brush with a V-groove to lay down volume & intensity, and a network of combing & curling surfaces to give length, definition and DRAMA.’ This mascara does exactly this, not only does it evenly coat your lashes, helping to add volume and definition, but it really lifts your lashes. I would even say that this mascara is on par with the Benefit RollerLash, with how voluminous it makes your lashes look. It doesn’t transfer to your eyelids (which with longer lashes, I sometimes struggle with), and it lasts all day too! It isn’t difficult to remove either, which is always a bonus!
3. L’Oréal Paris Eyebrow Artist Plump & Set – £7.99
This product is a new find, previous to using this brow gel, I used Revolution’s Eyebrow Pencil, but to be honest, I became a little lazy with doing my makeup everyday, so I wanted to try a brow gel instead.
I love this brow gel. It has such a lightweight formula, with a gel that subtly adds volume to your natural brow hairs, which helps them to appear bolder. The spoolie brush is great for angling and shaping your brows effortlessly. I love how simple and quick it is to use, and as I am blonde, it is a perfect shade without looking too dark. Another great thing about this product, is that it keeps your brows locked in shape all day, whilst keeping them looking natural.
The only slightly annoying thing about this product is that a lot of product gets stuck on the brush, and as I like more of a natural coat of this brow gel, I have to wipe some of it off, which gets the top of the tube a little messy.
4. Sleek MakeUP Highlighting Palette – Solstice – £9.99.
I discovered this highlighter palette a while back, and it is so good! This palette has a mix of powder and cream textures, so I always like to apply the cream highlight first for a natural-looking glow, and then if I am feeling like I want more of a pop, I will add on top the powder, and it looks so good! Another positive of this palette is that the pigment is so strong and leaves you with an effortlessly flawless glow.
Unfortunately, the only downside of this palette is that my lip snapped off fairly easily, which makes it unfriendly to travel with, however, since me buying this, they may have improved the quality of the packaging.
5. SophXRevolution Lipstick in Syrup
I discovered this lipstick in the Cyber Monday sales on BeautyBay, after instantly falling in love with the shade, I had to buy and try! This lipstick is really lovely, not only is it creamy and looks nice on, it is so affordable. Another positive about this lipstick is that as the shade is a browny-nude, it is so easy to wear as an everyday lipstick! Haven’t got a bad word to say about this lipstick, it’s a win for me!
Thank you for joining me again this week, I hope you have enjoyed reading this style of makeup review blog post! Let me know down below what your favourite makeup product that is under £10 is!✨
